RASHAD MALIK DAVIS

Rashad Malik Davis is a mixed media artist, author, storyteller, and dreamer. He uses a range of mediums including: digital mediums, animation, and traditional media like acrylic and clay. Through these, he will most often weave together magic, fantasy, history, and the otherworldly to tackle themes of: diversity and inclusion, empathy, and emotional literacy. In 2017, Chapter 1 of his Carefree Like Me series won the Best Indie Book Award in the Children’s category. Chapter 2 of the same series won the 2019 Best Indie Illustration Award as well. He also exhibited his first large scale exhibition entitled: Celestial Bodies: Precolonial Queer Black African Identity at the Princeton Public Library in June 2025.
