Kathryn Brown is an award-winning illustrator of many highly acclaimed picture books, including, The House That Jane Built: A Story About Jane Addams by Tanya Lee Stone, Tough Boris by Mem Fox, The Old Woman Who Named Thingsby Cynthia Rylant, and the Eeny series by Jane Yolen.

Her work has been called ‘luminous’ by the New York Times and ‘lovingly humorous’ by Booklist. She is often found loitering with a variety of characters –such as the ones who appeared in a yellow boat one lazy day near the water’s edge in the countryside of Maine.
