Jacqueline Chio-Lauri is the editor and lead author of We Cook Filipino: Heart-healthy Recipes and Inspiring Stories from 36 Filipino Food Personalities and Award-Winning Chefs (Tuttle, 2023), which won 1st Prize, Best in the World for Plurinational Cuisine at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards. Her first book is the highly acclaimed The New Filipino Kitchen (Agate Surrey, 2018).

Her debut picture book, Mama King: How Ma Mon Luk Found Love, Riches, and the Perfect Bowl of Soup (Lerner, March 2024), was named a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard selection. Her second picture book, The Hunger Fighter, is forthcoming in 2027 from Eerdmans. Jacqueline currently lives in the UK.
