Bartz v. Anthropic is one of the many copyright class action lawsuits brought by authors against AI companies. It's one of the first to be decided and is moving very fast. 

We are urging our authors whose books were published at any time before August 1, 2022 to submit contact information plus basic book information to plaintiffs' (authors) attorneys. The attorneys will send those on the list official notice in September of the steps authors will need to take to join in the class action.
