Angela Quezada Padron

Angela Quezada Padron’s author-illustrator debut picture book biography, As the Seas Rise: Nicole Hernández Hammer and the Fight for Climate Justice, released with Atheneum Books in 2024. She has four other picture books under contract: From the Fields to the Fight: The Story of Labor Activist Jessica Govea Thorbourne (Atheneum, 2026), An Island Called Home (Eerdman’s, 2026), Lucia’s Goals (Lee & Low, TBD), and Sisters All the Time (Charlesbridge, 2026).

When Angela is not creating children's books, she works as the National Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Reading Partners, a non-profit organization dedicated to building literacy skills for elementary students in underrepresented areas. Angela lives with her husband and teenage son in southwest Florida.
