Rebecca Roan
Rebecca Roan is the author of Dragons Get Colds Too, illustrated by Charles Santoso (Bloomsbury, 2019) and Charlie and the Octopus, illustrated by Larissa Marantz (Avenue A Books, 2019). She is a recipient of the PEN New England Children’s Books Discovery award. She holds a BS in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State University and an MA in Children’s Literature and an MFA in Writing for Children from Simmons College. A former preschool teacher, bookseller, and puppeteer, Rebecca lives in northeastern PA, where she works as the Managing Editor at Highlights for Children.
