Brooke Hartman is an Alaskan mom and award-winning author of fun books for kids. Her books have received starred reviews from Kirkus reviews, School Library Journal, and Publishers’s Weekly, and have been listed on the Children’s Bookshelf Best Books of the Year. She serves on the board for the Alaska Writers Guild, is a member of SCBWI, and a previous SCBWI Tribute Fund scholarship recipient.

As the daughter of a former tour guide trainer for the Alaska Railroad and sister of a current Alaska Railroad lineman, Brooke has spent many a day, night, and weekend riding the “Alaska Train,” viewing spectacular scenery and spotting countless wildlife—though so far the only wildlife to join her on the ride are members of her own family.
